We are incredibly proud to celebrate our BSc (Hons) Computer Science students for winning the Most Inspirational Project Award at the 2024 NASA International Space Apps Challenge!

Competing against 93,000 participants from 163 countries, our students made history with their project Eco-Metropolis: Sustainable City Simulation—an interactive game designed to promote sustainability, climate resilience, and smart city development.

The felicitation ceremony, held on 13th February 2025 at DoubleTree by Hilton, Marjan Island, RAK, was graced by esteemed guests, including Dr. Steve Reissig, Executive Director - RAK DOK, Dr. William Ed Obryan, Space Affairs Attaché, U.S. Embassy Abu Dhabi, Mr. Zubair Ibrahim, Co-Chairman, UWL RAK, and Mr. Ahmed Rafi, Co-Chairman & CEO, UWL RAK. They were joined by Deans, Deputy Deans, Delegates from RAK DOK, School Principals, UWL RAK Faculty and Staff, and proud parents, all of whom applauded the winners for their outstanding achievement.
