Increasingly, employers expect you to have internship experience\u00a0so that you come to your first job out of college ready to hit the ground running. We know that getting one can be challenging, which is why we\u2019ve come up with these tips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First of all, don\u2019t jump for every opportunity that you come across. Think about the skills and experience you currently possess, and which positions and organizations you might be a good fit for. And target organizations that you want to work for, once you pass out.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Start small:<\/strong>&nbsp;Don\u2019t feel pressured to get your&nbsp;Mega Deal&nbsp;right away, especially if you have no prior work experience. Start by exploring small local organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Search prudently.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li><strong>Visit Job Sites:&nbsp;<\/strong>Websites like the ones given below have hundreds of listings, so you\u2019re bound to find something that\u2019s right for you. You can search for the internship titles you\u2019re interested in, and narrow results down by location, size, industry, company ratings and more. Another great strategy is to look up the companies you\u2019re interested in and reach out to employees there. You never know what opportunities it might lead to!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Contact Companies Directly:&nbsp;<\/strong>If you have a dream company in mind, but they don\u2019t have any relevant internships, you can always try&nbsp;writing them a letter of interest&nbsp;in hopes that they will either contact you when one opens&nbsp;or even create a new one for you. It\u2019s more of a longshot than applying directly, but you\u2019ll never know if you don\u2019t try.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We wish you the very best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>There are many ways in which you can improve your employability skills.
