Entry Requirements

British/ International A Levels (From a minimum 112 UCAS tariff points depending on course)- To calculate points https://www.ucas.com/ucas/tariff-calculator

Standard 12/ secondary school examinations: 55% or above depending on exam board from respective countries.

International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma (From a minimum 25 points depending on course)

A recognized foundation course

English language requirement: 60% or above in English subject in their grade 12th/10th OR IELTS Score 5.

Other requirements:

  • 60% or above in Mathematics subject in their grade 10th/12th
  • OR 60% or above in Accounting subject in their grade 12th

Second and final year entry on a bachelor's degree may be available for those with a Level 4 / 5 equivalent from the UK with a merit profile or a sufficient undergraduate credits (120 undergraduate credits at Level 4 or a CertHE in a related subject area for Level 5 (year 2) entry, and 240 undergraduate credits (at Levels 4 and 5), a DipHE, Foundation Degree or HND in a related subject area for Level 6 (year 3) entry. (Subject to approval by the RPCL Committee)

How will this course be assessed?

Year one - 58% written exam, 0% practical exam, 42% coursework
Year two - 60% written exam, 0% practical exam, 40% coursework
Year three - 52.5% written exam, 2.5% practical exam, 45% coursework

Career & study progression

Accounting tends to be non-cyclical, with professionals needed in both buoyant economic times and also when the economy is not performing well. The course has been designed to maximise exemptions that may be obtained from the professional accounting bodies' examinations.

On completion of this course, graduates will be in a position to apply for a vast range of accounting and finance appointments in areas that include:

Financial Accounting

Management Accounting

Auditing

Taxation and Corporate Finance.


Upon graduation, you will gain maximum exemptions- no institution offers more exemptions from Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) exams.

When you graduate you will be awarded up to nine exemptions from ACCA and it is possible to become a qualified accountant within two years of graduation. This means that in a period of five years you can achieve a good honours degree and a prestigious accounting qualification.

Most of our students go on to study for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) examinations.
